Cosmetology – Master Barber Crossover
Students wishing to enter in this course must have a valid Tennessee Cosmetology license. Upon completion of this 300-hour course, the student will be prepared to teach students and will have demonstrated competencies to pass the State Board exam.

Becoming A Master Barber
The Licensed Cosmetologist to Master Barber program is intended for individuals who currently hold an active cosmetology license and seek to obtain a Master Barber license.
The program provides the theoretical instruction and practical training necessary to prepare students for the State Board examination and entry-level employment as a Master Barber, in accordance with state regulations. Instruction is delivered through a combination of classroom-based theory and supervised practical experience.
Training emphasizes the development of technical skills, safety procedures, professional practices, and regulatory compliance. Students will participate in instructor-supervised clinical activities designed to reinforce learning objectives and promote competency in barbering services.
The curriculum is designed to expand upon the knowledge and experience of licensed cosmetologists by focusing on barbering-specific theory and practical applications. Educational content includes barbering techniques, client services, sanitation practices, and a review of applicable laws and rules governing the profession. Students are provided opportunities to perform barbering services under supervision in a clinical environment.
